You know I was looking through photos and came across this one and thought how proud I am of Lon and Derek for sticking with it and getting there BLACK Belts in Tae kwon do. This took place in 2001 and was over a 2 year process that entailed 2 to 3 times a week practice and weekend tournaments. They both always tried their best and strived to be the best. Derek was 9 years old. I don't want to say how old Lon was, it might hurt his feelings...
Great job Derek & Lon. I am so proud of you both. The experience was wonderful for our whole family to go through and will be a spotlight in your lives always.
